I believe that love that is true and real creates a respite from death. All cowardice comes from not loving, or not loving well, which is the same thing. And when the man who is brave and true looks death squarely in the face like some rhino hunters I know, or Belmonte, who's truly brave. It is because they love with sufficient passion to push death out of their minds, until the return that it does to all men.

Daydream Nation (2010)
This is one of the best films I've ever watched, and definitely the best I've watched lately. It was such a surprise- I never expected it to be such a life-changing film. It's extraordinary, really- and I can't say too much so I won't spoil it for you. All I can say is that it includes a cute storyline, excellent acting (I loooove Kat Dennings) and some very important life lessons.
It's a 5 people. One of the best:D

While trying to be more active generally in my life, I will really try to do the same with ths blog. Because when I started it I wanted to share my opinions with people and discuss them- not mope around everytime life gets  hard. And when I say opinions I don't necessarily mean my opinion on global warming or feminism. That includes fandoms and shameless fangirling, because they make hard times a bit easier to bear.

On a lighter note, then, I need to write a Hunger Games appreciation post. I read those books so fast and with such devotion that I couldn't really discuss them with anyone. It felt personal for some reason... But now I'm ready to talk about this awesome book series. And read lots of fanfiction. And try to write something as well:P I have some ideas for a Finnick/Annie multi-chaptered fic... and I need to think of a "happy moment" for honest_illusion's Christmas Drabble.

To be honest, the reason I've mentioned THG in the first place is the fact that azelmaroark has gotten me into the Career fandom. Yes, you got that right. I'm well-known for how easily I can get into a fandom (Rose/Scorpius anyone?). A word, an implication- anything I can understand and feel is enough for me. Anyway, Katie posted those Gen fics in  and she made me see storylines in the first book that I couldn't imagine. I mean, I could always see the deeper point in the books (if you tell me that "THG is just a love story", "THG is just like Twilight", or that "THG is an odd thriller" I will be personally insulted like you were talking about my life), but I was mainly concerned about the political situation, the fear of authorities, the inhuman living standards and the negativity of a revolution. I never thought of the consequences such a situation can have on human beings. Because, yes, we can definitely see Katniss' POV on all this or how damaged Haymitch and Peeta were at the end, but what about the rest of them? Those that came before the revolution whose dreams and hopes were shattered by the Games, as games.

To sum this up (because I said I'd only mention my newly found love for THG), I'm trying to explore Cato/Clove now.
What? You didn't expect me to create OCs, now did you? I can't do that; I can't function without canon! I'm not sure if I see the two romantically or not- I'm at this point where I have read all these stories, and I'm trying really hard to find my own headcanon and not confuse every storyline I've read. But I see something there, and I want to see where it will take me.

Since I'm talking about fandoms, I feel the need to discuss GG. I think I'll name it: "that horrible show that I'm still checking out once in a while for some unknown reason". Most probably, because of the amazing 1st season: remember all those beautiful clothes and hairstyles and accessories and that unbelievable storyline that was okay because it wasn't insulted back then?

Anyway, WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH BLAIR THIS SEASON? Remember how we used to blame Chuck for everything wrong in the show? Well, now it's Blair! She's a feminist you see. No matter that she would marry a prince so she could be a princess and have a happy ever after and a life like a fairytale, etc etc etc... Now she remembered she must be independent.

And Dan is so ridiculous, and Nate has no storyline, and Serena is pretty as always. I really hope they'll fix things soon and create an amazing season 6 and then end it. I mean now it's not only unrealistic, it's also an insulting show.

Ending this, I must say that I'm still working on Christmas Drabbles and my plan is to finish them within the month. Bear with me, will you? :D

Inkheart (2008)
It was fun. Boring fun, but fun- the kind of film you watch once because you had nothing else to do, say 'okay, whatever' and forget about it. Two stars because it's a film about the power of words and the love of books.

[Writing] is a lonely thing. Sometimes the world you create on the page seems more friendly and alive than the world you actually live in.
